How do we help those in need right now?

Tim Peck and Sarah Blessing interview Holly from the Washington County Warming Station in Salem, Indiana.

1 in 8 Americans depend on SNAP benefits. Tim updates us on this food assistance situation with the government shutdown. Also, Sarah and Tim hear from Holly who is one of the three main people that run the non-profit, The Washington County Warming Station. This group provides a hot meal and a warm place every Monday in Salem from 5-8. They also open every day when it is 34 degrees or colder.

Find out why Holly got started two years ago and how we can help our local communities more as our most vulnerable need our assistance to stay alive. If you would like to help, you can find them on Facebook. Thanks to everyone stepping up to provide food and needed items while the government is shut down.
